The United States just passed a $1 trillion military budget. Now, the Trump Administration is demanding a $500 billion increase- totaling more than military spending at the height of World War 2.
We have a ~$2 Trillion Dollar Plan to enhance our entire nuclear weapons arsenal, and with the “Golden Dome” Missile Defense system, an additional $3-$5 trillion could be added.
We spend nearly $1 Trillion dollars annually on our military budget, more than the next 10 countries combined. 60% of our federal income taxes go to the Department of War.
What could we use this money for instead?
Tax Day to Earth Day is a collaborative centered around the enormous economic and environmental costs of US militarism, and a clear call to thwart this $500 billion increase and to cut the military budget.
